What is BMS?

Battery Management System

A battery management system (BMS) is the electronics that monitor and protect a rechargeable battery pack — tracking voltage, current, temperature, and state of charge, and guarding against overcharge, over-discharge, and thermal runaway.

A BMS keeps lithium-ion packs safe and extends their life through cell balancing and accurate state-of-charge estimation — critical for EVs, medical devices, and any product with a serious battery.
