What is Signal Integrity?

Signal integrity is the measure of how well an electrical signal keeps its shape as it travels through a circuit, covering reflections, crosstalk, timing, and noise that can corrupt high-speed data.

Poor signal integrity causes intermittent bugs that are hard to diagnose. Good high-speed layout — controlled impedance, careful routing, and return-path management — designs these problems out before fabrication.
