What is HDI PCB?
High-Density Interconnect PCB
An HDI (high-density interconnect) PCB uses finer traces, smaller microvias, and higher wiring density than standard boards, packing more connections into less space for compact, high-performance devices.
HDI is what makes smartphones, wearables, and dense modules possible. It relies on microvias, blind and buried vias, and thin dielectrics — techniques that demand careful stackup planning and DFM to stay manufacturable.
