What is BLE?

Bluetooth Low Energy

Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) is a short-range wireless protocol designed for very low power consumption, widely used to connect battery-powered devices like wearables and sensors to phones and gateways.

BLE is the default when a product must talk to a smartphone and sip power. BLE 5 added longer range and higher throughput, and the same radios often support Thread and Matter.
